GILLIAN – PET STYLIST

Gillian has been with 4 paws since January of 2008 and has learned to groom through an on-site apprenticeship. Learning the basics of how to handle, bathe and properly brush out dogs, she progressed to the art of grooming. After some time spent away (the result of a shoulder injury) she continued to groom on a part-time basis while working in other industries. Eventually, she returned full-time to pursue her passion. Gillian continues to upgrade her skillset, attending seminars whenever possible to better serve her furry clients and their owners. 

Originally from Newfoundland, Gillian moved to Calgary at the age of 10 with her family. She now lovingly calls the mountains her home. In her free time, she enjoys doing art, learning new cooking recipes, spending time with her family and friends, and of course, taking her pup Enya on adventures.

SYLVIA - PET STYLIST

Hi everyone! My name is Sylvia and I have been with 4 Paws since April 2025. I've always had a love for animals, but dogs have always been my passion.


I was born in Malaysia, and moved to Calgary with my family when I was 3. I am the owner of a Holland Lop bunny (Smokey) and a Persian Ragdoll cat (Xena). For over 10 years, I worked in the restaurant industry, but felt like I wanted to do something more meaningful in life other than serve coffee. 


So, I shifted my career into dog grooming; something that I actually do care about. It's been quite a journey with learning all of these new experiences, but my goal every time is to give your pet a beautiful haircut while keeping them safe and comfortable. 


When I'm not at 4 Paws grooming dogs, I'm either helping my husband with his auto glass business, watching Netflix and crocheting, or spending time with the family. I'm excited to meet all of you and your four-legged furryfriends,s and I hope they leave feeling amazing after every visit!
